Services rendered through Domestic violence, Dowry Prohibition Committee

  • Every Thursday enquiries pertaining to the cases of domestic violence and dowry harassment were conducted and the findings of the enquiries were sent to different police stations and courts for further action.
  • A minimum of 10 cases and a maximum of 20 cases were enquired every week and reports were sent to different departments who seek the enquiry report.
  • Home visits have been made to assess the family situations of women affected by domestic violence and the assessment reports were given to the relevant Government departments.
  • In coolaboration with Family Counselling Centre, the marital problems of six women got solved , one woman got legal divorce and two women filed case in the court for separation.
  • Mr.Chelladurai, the Family counsellor, delivered an awareness talk on the problems faced by women and the legal process to solve the same at Vettiyapanthi on 26th August 2016.
  • Two women submitted their petition in the All Women Police Station seeking justice.
  • One woman got united with her husband settling amicably the differences between them.
