CARE AND HOPE CENTRE – SONTHAM:

The Care and Hope Centre was blessed and open by Most. Rev. Jude Paulraj, the Bishop of Palayamkottai on 20th August 2009. A formal inauguration was done on 25.10.2009. This special occasion was graced by church leaders, political leaders, members of CHAPD (Sisters), members of positive networks, PRI leaders, NGO heads and the primary stakeholders of the project (HIV/AIDS infected persons). Honourable Minister for Social Welfare, Ms.Geetha Jeevan, inaugurated the newly built Care and Hope Centre. Honourable Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports, Mr.T.P.M.Mohideen Khan was the special guest. In the presence of Most.Rev.Jude Paulraj, Bishop of Palayamkottai, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Mr.Karupasamy Pandiyan, presided over the function.

Acupuncture Clinic:

Acupuncture is one of the best-known alternative therapies. Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating needles into various points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes. 

TSSS encourages this alternate treatment system as it is free and gives solution to health problems without any intake of medicines. A special clinic for Acupuncture Treatment was established at TSSS’ premise in Palayamkkottai on 30.09.2009. It was inaugurated by the local Member of Parliament, Mr. Rama Subbhu in the presence of Rev. Fr. Antony Samy, the Vicar General of Palayamkottai Diocese. Rev.Fr.Joseph Kennedy, the Executive Director of TSSS expounded to the participants the need and importance of such a free medical support clinic. TSSS provides all necessary infrastructures for running the clinic. Treatment service is offered free of cost.
