State Level Meeting: 

A special meeting for service providers was convened by the State Social Welfare Board to review and reflect on the effective implementation of the DV act at district level. Each service provider was given space to share the challenges, gaps and resolving strategies in addressing domestic violence. The meeting was held on 9th December 2009 at Chennai. TSSS Director and staff participated in the meeting and gave lot of suggestions for efficient implementation of the act that protects women against domestic violence. 

Sensitization Meetings: 

TSSS conducted many sensitization meetings for women to come out of their confinements where they encounter lots of violence. The legal, preventive and protective measures guaranteed by the act were explained to the participants of the sensitization meetings. On 25th July 2009, TSSS conducted a special orientation meeting at Devarkulam. 47 Women members participated and gained awareness of the DV Act.
